De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis are widely considered two of the biggest All-Star game snubs this year and their coach also believes that’s the case.

Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown doesn’t agree with the results of the 2024 All-Star Game vote results when it comes to his star players Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox.

Fox and Sabonis weren’t named to the Western Conference Team despite putting up consistently strong performances and impressive statlines, while the Kings are fifth in the standings.

“You’re talking about historic numbers,” Brown said on the output of Sabonis and Fox after the Kings’ 133-122 victory over the Indiana Pacers. “Not only that, I think we might be the only top-six team in both conferences to not have one All-Star, and I ain’t that good of a fricking coach. I got no magic dust to put on these guys. I’ve got fricking players and that’s what baffles me. It really baffles me.”

Sabonis is averaging 20.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists, numbers that are superior to the previous three seasons (2020, 2021 and 2023) he was named an All-Star. In the win over the Pacers, the Lithuanian big man registered his 30th straight double-double, breaking the Kings’ franchise record previously held by Oscar Robertson.

So far in 2023-24, Fox is scoring a career-high 27.1 points to go with his 5.4 assists and 4.0 rebounds. Last year he became an All-Star for the first time in his career.
