Being the fastest player to reach 100 career three-pointers with 41 games back in 2018, it was crystal clear from day one that Lauri Markkanen had a particular fondness regarding three-point shots.
Averaging his second-best career-high three-point shooting percentage at 40.1%, the 26-year-old power forward has committed alongside Tyrese Haliburton, Damian Lillard, Malik Beasley, and Jalen Brunson – among other players – to participate in this year’s NBA Three-Point Contest at All-Star Weekend, according to Shams Charania.
The Finnish big man has been averaging 23.5 points and 8.6 rebounds with the Utah Jazz this season but wasn’t named into the roster of the Western Conference for the All-Star Game, where he participated in 2023.
