In a deal centered around Buddy Hield going to the Philadelphia 76ers, Furkan Korkmaz ended up with the Indiana Pacers. However, the Indianapolis side is waiving the Turkish player, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
Therefore, after seven years in Philadelphia, the 26-year-old sharpshooter is becoming a free agent.
Korkmaz made 361 appearances with the 76ers over seven seasons. In the 2023-24 regular season, he tallied 2.5 points per contest, shooting 39.5% from the field.
The Sixers were the team that drafted him in 2016 as the 26th overall pick, so any team that decides to sign him as a free agent will be only his second in the NBA.
