The most recent suspension issued to Draymond Green followed the elbowing of Jusuf Nurkic. Initially suspended indefinitely by the NBA, he was reinstated in mid-January, after spending just over one month on the sidelines. The four-time NBA champion and the Bosnian center reunited in Chase Center on the latest edition of NBA Saturdays.
“It is sad. He did not learn anything,” commented Nurkic on constant exchanges and minor altercations between him and Green, “Just a matter of time until he hits somebody else again. I take everything back, what I said. He does not deserve a chance.”
“His antics. The stuff he should not do,” he described the behavior of his opponent, “At the end of the day, they play their way, but no one worries about them. They got a win tonight. We will see what happens in a few games or a month or so.”
“If he wants me to walk around quietly like him, I’m never gonna do that. Quiet guys don’t win,” responded the 33-year-old forward/center.
Knocking in his ninth triple of the game with time running out in the fourth quarter, Stephen Curry lifted the Warriors to a win, forcing the Suns to 31-22 in the 2023-24 Regular Season.
Nurkic, 29, tallied six points, six rebounds, four assists, and one block in the losing effort. Resuming action on Tuesday, his side returns to Footprint Center for a back-to-back, stretching from the Sacramento Kings to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.
