Dejan Milojevic tragically passed away at the age of 46 after suffering a heart attack during a team dinner with the Golden State Warriors in Salt Lake City.
Today, his funeral took place in his hometown of Belgrade, with many basketball figures in attendance, including the head coach of the Warriors, Steve Kerr. Zaza Pachulia also came to Belgrade for the funeral, with many people from the world of basketball paying their respects to Milojevic, such as Zeljko Obradovic, Nemanja Bjelica, Aleksandar Dzikic, Darko Milicic, and many others.
Last Saturday, a commemorative gathering was also held at the City Assembly, bringing together the basketball community to bid an emotional farewell to the beloved Milojevic.
Dejan Milojevic left a huge mark on European basketball as a player for Buducnost, Partizan, Valencia, and Galatasaray, and then as the head coach of Mega Basket and Buducnost in Europe. He worked with Kerr as part of the Golden State staff since 2021, winning a championship in 2022.
