Staying with the Warriors for almost a decade, Steve Kerr has decided to prolong his commitment to the Californian team, agreeing on a two-year contract extension with Golden State.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, he will earn $35 million over these two seasons. Therefore, Steve Kerr’s new deal makes him the highest-paid coach in NBA history at $17.5M a year.
The former Chicago Bulls player has been a crucial part of the recent success that came within the Golden State Warriors organization, winning four NBA Championships (2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022), being also inserted among the Top 15 head coaches in NBA history.
