The 2022/23 EuroLeague MVP, Sasha Vezenkov, signed with the Sacramento Kings last summer and quickly showed he can contribute to the team’s success in the NBA.
The Bulgarian forward is currently out due to a grade 3 right ankle sprain, and his teammate, the brilliant Lithuanian center Domantas Sabonis, doesn’t hide that the Kings are missing him.
The owner of 20 triple-doubles this season praised Vezenkov and explained they formed a great relationship in California.
“He’s very funny. He’s a great guy. We are really close, and we’ve built a nice relationship. He can shoot really well, moves well without the ball, and for me as a big man who loves to pass, we kind of have this connection since day one. I hope I get more minutes with him on the court so we can really exploit each other’s games,” Sabonis said.
Sasha Vezenkov played 35 regular-season games in his rookie year so far and averaged 5.6 points and 2.5 rebounds on 38% shooting from beyond the arc.
