After a series of trades, the experienced Australian point guard, Patty Mills, landed with the Atlanta Hawks last summer. However, as Shams Charania reports, the Georgia team is waiving him.
Mills had a limited role with Quin Snyder’s side, recording only 19 appearances and averaging 2.7 points. Still, he maintained a respectable 38.2% shooting from beyond the arc.
With his vast experience, the 15-year veteran could be a good addition to contending teams prior to the NBA playoffs.
Mills won a championship with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014 and has 879 regular-season appearances behind him, averaging 8.9 points and 2.2 assists on 38.9% shooting from three-point range.
