Domantas Sabonis is having a spectacular season with the Sacramento Kings and shows no signs of slowing down.
The Lithuanian center recorded his 50th consecutive double-double as the Kings defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 121-111 in overtime at home.
Sabonis led Sacramento with 25 points, 18 rebounds, and five assists, shooting an impressive 13/15 from the free-throw line. He battled against Spaniard Santi Aldama, who nearly achieved a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.
In other European player news, Kristaps Porzingis contributed 20 points and eight rebounds in the Boston Celtics’ 119-94 victory over the Detroit Pistons.
Nikola Vucevic also scored near a double-double in the Chicago Bulls’ 110-107 win over the Portland Trail Blazers, scoring 22 points and nine rebounds. Onuralp Bitim added nine points and four rebounds.
Despite Lauri Markkanen’s 22 points and 12 rebounds, the Utah Jazz couldn’t overcome the Minnesota Timberwolves at home, losing 104-114 without Rudy Gobert’s help.
Bogdan Bogdanovic had a solid performance in a losing effort, scoring 17 points as the Atlanta Hawks fell 136-105 on the road to the Los Angeles Lakers. Vit Krejci added 11 points for the losing side, while Clint Capela was on the verge of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
