The Milwaukee Bucks fell to 46-26 in the NBA Regular Season after a double-overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in Fiserv Forum.
Leading by a margin of 19 points early in the fourth quarter, the team coached by Doc Rivers seemed destined for a win on Tuesday.
“We have guys that can make a big shot,” noted Giannis Antetokounmpo on failing to get the job done, “There are going to be times that Khris [Middleton] is going to want the ball. There are going to be times that Dame [Lillard] wants the ball. You just got to play the game and try to fit in where you can.”
“We’ve got to watch this game, learn from this game,” added the Greek Freak, “Watch why we weren’t able to get a stop. Watch why the ball wasn’t moving down the stretch. Watch why we lost the game. Watch why there were a lot of 50-50 balls and we weren’t able to get them. Watch why they came off the half and had a couple of offensive rebounds in a row that led to an open three. Just watch all that stuff so that we can get better.”
At the end of regulation, Antetokounmpo could not counter a poor finish and salvage a win. “I don’t want to get fined. But I went out to get the ball. For some reason, I wasn’t able to get the ball. I wasn’t able to end the game,” he said.
