After pushing the Dallas Mavericks to a seventh win in a row with 47 points, Luka Doncic attracted questions about an underhand lob from inside the three-point line. An unbelievably successful effort overshadowed extending the winning streak and his solid scoring showing on NBA Sundays.
“I was not surprised,” was his immediate reaction, struggling to hold back laughter, “When I was young, I was a bartender. So, I am used to it.”
“I had a good feeling it was going in,” he added on the acrobatic effort, besides the humorous connection to an impressive balancing act.

“To see him do that, I feel a lot of people got excited, but I think at the same time, that’s Luka,” mentioned head coach Jason Kidd, “He’s always able to make tough shots. He’s Picasso. Give him the paintbrush, he’s going to do something special. That shot was pretty special.”
Doncic, 25, finished with 47 points behind 18/30 field goals against the Houston Rockets in Toyota Center. “He put the ball in the basket, was able to read and play the defense we saw tonight. It’s up to him to do his job, and he did it at a high level,” Kidd praised the Slovenian sensation.
“Doncic was too comfortable,” noted losing head coach Ime Udoka, “Not to diminish what we did, but let’s get it back going. It’s one game. One guy played really well for them. A few others made shots, but we didn’t particularly play great.”
