Bogdan Bogdanovic had another outstanding game, leading the Atlanta Hawks to victory over the Chicago Bulls, but he also engaged in a confrontation with head coach Quin Snyder.
“We do this almost every other minute, or we are verbally fighting all the time, which is normal. That means we both care, and everyone cares. Quin is my guy, for sure. And, he pushed me through the whole year. We had these little fights. It’s normal that happens,” Bogdanovic said after the match.
The Hawks have recorded five victories in the last six matches and are aiming to secure the ninth spot from the Bulls in the Play-Ins.
“I am glad that we won and that I played a good match. We strive to play well; every match is important to us and provides a new opportunity to prove ourselves. Currently, it’s difficult for us to drop out of the play-ins, but we could reach the ninth position,” Bogdanovic added, talking to RTS.
The Serbian guard is having a great season, averaging 17 points per game, but he hopes he can do even better.
“I hope this won’t be my best season and that I will continue to progress. However, I prefer the season when we reached the conference finals, primarily because of the higher number of wins and the team’s success, and also because my scoring performance was similar then.”
Bogdanovic also touched on the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics, where Serbia will meet Team USA in the first stage.
“I expect a spectacle. However, that meeting is still far away, and I am focused here and striving to end the season in the best possible way. I am in touch with Pešić and my teammates, and when the season ends, we will focus on the national team,” concluded Bogdan Bogdanovic.
