Moving to the Boston Celtics in the summer of 2023 from the Washington Wizards, going further than the NBA Regular Season was surely a reachable goal for Kristaps Porzingis.
Dominating the Eastern Conference at the 1st position with a 59-16 record, the Boston Celtics clinched the post-season for quite some time now, and the Latvian superstar commented about playing on such a stage after missing it for two seasons.
After beating Charlotte, he expressed his satisfaction. “I can’t even imagine how the TD Garden is going to be. It’s already insanely loud for regular-season games. I remember in Dallas the differences between regular season and playoffs noise, and it was unreal”, he first commented.
Then, he went on to comment on his excitement. “The arena is going to be shaking. I’m excited about that kind of environment. To feel that energy, it’s all out. You live every single energy you have out there, and that’s what we’re excited for”, the 28-year-old unicorn added.
He has been one of the most important players in Joe Mazzulla’s team’s trajectory so far, averaging 20.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, shooting 51.1% from the field and 86.0% at the line. Before moving to Boston, he played three years in New York, three years in Dallas, and two seasons with the Wizards.
