After being named Player of the Month in the Western Conference for February, Luka Doncic got once again this honor for exceptional performances in March.
Throughout the month, he has been averaging 32.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 10.1 assists in 14 games, basically putting up a triple-double per night. Starting March with three consecutive defeats, the Dallas Mavericks then went on to open an 11-game winning streak with Luka Doncic on the court.
According to what reported by Grant Afseth, this was the second time Luka Doncic has averaged “a 30-point triple-double in a month (November 2019)”. Only “Oscar Robertson (5x) and Russell Westbrook (2x)” have done the same thing in the past.
In the Eastern Conference, Jalen Brunson from the New York Knicks was names Player of the Month. Staying in the West, Victor Wembanyama was named Rookie of the Month for the third straight month.
