Since moving to the NBA after leaving Partizan Belgrade, Tristan Vukcevic seems to have found a better version of himself, and he showed it in Washington’s 117-113 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Serbian 21-year-old forward had his career-high with 14 points and 7 rebounds in his team’s win, while Israeli star Deni Avdija led the way with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists to improve the Wizards’ record at least to 15-61.

On Milwaukee’s side, Giannis Antetokounmpo had the 10th triple-double of the season, ending with an exceptional losing effort of 35 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, shooting 15/21 from the field.

In the aftermath, he commented on the former Partizan Belgrade player, teasing a potential national-team debut. “He came out to me and said he was Greek. I was surprised that he was speaking Greek to me. I had a conversation with him, he played in Greece for a couple of years”, he first said after the loss.

“He’s thinking of joining the national team and it would be a very good addition for us. He played hard tonight, he can make a three, and take on guys off the juke. He has a lot of experience, and he can definitely help the Wizards and the Greek national team”, he added about Tristan Vukcevic.
