Bogdan Bogdanovic and the Atlanta Hawks couldn’t cope with his compatriot Nikola Jokic and the defending champions, the Denver Nuggets.
Jamal Murray also made a good contribution, scoring 16 points in restricted minutes, and Bogdanovic believes there’s no better duo than the Serbian-Canadian pair of the Nuggets.
“He’s a tremendous player. Him and Jokic are the best duo in the league and it’s tough to guard them,” Bogdanovic said. “When Jokic needs to find a guy to score, he’s got Murray, and that’s basically it.”
Bogey tried his best but got into early foul trouble. He ended up scoring 18 points and hitting at least one three-pointer in his 85th consecutive game, which is the ninth-longest streak in NBA history and the second-best in Hawks‘ history. Only Kyle Korver is in front with 127 consecutive matches.
In his seventh NBA season, the 31-year-old Serbian guard is playing his best basketball yet, averaging 16.9 points. He hit 229 triples, with only Donte DiVincenzo scoring more (262) in the Eastern Conference.
