Giannis Antetokounmpo is determined to get the Milwaukee Bucks back on track, heading to the 2024 NBA Playoffs.
On the latest edition of NBA Sundays, his side fell to the New York Knicks in Fiserv Forum. A fourth loss in a row reduced the season tally to 47-31. Returning to action after missing the previous game due to left hamstring tendinopathy, he ended up with 28 points behind 10/20 field goals, 15 rebounds, and eight assists over 39 minutes.
“When you lose games, you do not feel good,” explained the Greek Freak, “You go back home, can not sit down and watch Amazon Prime. And be relaxed and enjoy your steak. And, I don’t know, some guys drink your wine or your beer, whatever. In my case, do my Legos. When I try to put my Legos in place, I am more frustrated, hurting my fingers and stuff.”
Four outings remain in the 2023-24 Regular Season and the Bucks sit second in the Eastern Conference, one game ahead of the Orlando Magic and New York Knicks. The fifth-placed Cleveland Cavaliers trail the second seed by a margin of 1.5 games. Potentially dropping more games, the team coached by Doc Rivers is in danger of falling down the standings.
A back-to-back on home court follows on the schedule with the league-leading Boston Celtics visiting on Tuesday and the Magic on Wednesday. Challenges on the road versus the Oklahoma City Thunder and Magic wrap up the Regular Season.
