Giannis Antetokounmpo got injured in the Milwaukee Bucks’ win over the Boston Celtics, and the MRI results yielded the best-case outcome.
According to Shams Charania, the Bucks’ star has avoided damage to his left Achilles tendon, and his return to play is based on treatment and rehab response for a strained calf.
So, Giannis is still injured, but the worst outcome has been avoided, and he’s expected to return to the court soon.
Giannis scored 15 points in the big win over the Celtics, which will be remembered as the game with the least amount of free throw attempts in NBA history. The only free throws attempted were by the Greek Freak, and he attempted two.
Antetokounmpo has played 73 regular season games so far, averaging 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists.
