Another chapter begins with the playoff rivalry between Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Clippers. This time around, the California team got the first strike.
The LA side opened the Round 1 Playoff series with a 109-97 home win against the Slovenian star and the Dallas Mavericks.
Luka did his thing and finished the match with 33 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists. It was his 18th 30-point playoff game – half of them were against the Clippers.
However, he only had proper support from Kyrie Irving, who scored 31 points with seven rebounds. Only P.J. Washington was in double digits besides them with 11 points.
Croatian center Ivica Zubac had a good game for the winning side, scoring 20 points with 15 rebounds.
James Harden led the Clippers to the lead in the series with 28 points and eight assists, while Paul George added 22 points.
Earlier, the Boston Celtics also grabbed a 1-0 lead in their Playoff series against the Miami Heat, with Kristaps Porzingis among the top scorers of the winning side.
