Croatian forward Bojan Bogdanovic will miss the rest of the season because of left foot surgery, the New York Knicks announced.
The 35-year-old sharpshooter was injured at the start of the second quarter of Game 4 over the Sixers after he chased a loose ball with 76ers forward Nicolas Batum and immediately went to the floor in visible pain.
Bogdanovic was acquired from the Detroit Pistons at the trade deadline to bolster New York’s bench. He delivered with crucial three-pointers in Game 1 against Philadelphia.
Bogdanovic can be cut until the 28th of June and get only $2 million from his total $19 salary for next season.
The Knicks have already lost All-Star forward Julius Randle for the rest of the season because of shoulder surgery but have a 3-1 lead over the Sixers and can close the series at home in Game 5.
