Going up 2-0 in front of an energic Madison Square Garden following a 130-121 win over the Pacers, the New York Knicks managed to go to Indianapolis with a pretty good solid status, despite suffering some injuries.
Forced to play 39 minutes after Mitchell Robinson’s injury which previously ruled him out, Isaiah Hartenstein went close to a triple-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Adding a career playoff-high 28 points with 10/19 from the field, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists before leaving with a left hamstring injury in the third quarter, O.G. Anunoby also had an important impact on his team’s victory.
Jalen Brunson returned to the court after suffering a leg injury, falling short of becoming the second player in NBA history to score 40 or more points in five straight playoff games, ending with 29 points. “I mean, he’s a warrior. There was no doubt in my mind that he’ll be back”, Donte DiVincenzo said.
On Indiana’s side, Tyrese Haliburton had a 34-point losing effort with 6 rebounds and 9 assists as well. Pascal Siakam added 14 points and 9 rebounds in his team’s defeat.
