The Atlanta Hawks will pick first at the upcoming 2024 NBA draft, scheduled for June 26th to 27th.
Despite their slim 3% odds, the Hawks secured the top pick after finishing 10th in the Eastern Conference with a 36-46 record and losing to the Chicago Bulls in the Play-In Tournament.
They will have the honor of picking first for the first time in 49 years.
The Washington Wizards will select second, and the Houston Rockets secured the third spot. After selecting Victor Wembanyama as the first pick last year, the San Antonio Spurs will select fourth from the 2024 NBA Draft class. The Detroit Pistons round out the Top five picks.
Two Frenchmen are also touted to be picked first this year, with Alexandre Sarr from the Perth Wildcats and Zaccharie Risacher from JL Bourg projected to be top picks. However, it still remains to be seen what strategy the Hawks GM Landry Fields will employ.
