After Minnesota won in back-to-back fashion in Denver the first two games of the series, Denver did the same in Minneapolis, tying at 2-2 in their Western Conference Semi-Finals series.

In Game 4, the defending champions won 115-107 with a 35-point effort from the newly named and three-time NBA MVP of the Season. Nikola Jokic also added 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals, shooting 15/26 from the field.

“It’s just like a laser-sharp focus. and a surgical execution”, his frontcourt partner Aaron Gordon, who had 27 points and 6 rebounds in his team’s victory, commented.

On the losing side, four-time DPOY Rudy Gobert had a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds, while Karl-Anthony Towns followed with 13 points and 12 rebounds but shooting poorly at 5/18. “It’s unfortunate that on Mother’s Day, I have a shooting performance like that”, he said.

Minnesota’s star Anthony Edwards had a 44-point losing effort, proving to not surrender until the last moment. “This is a series. We won two games, but we didn’t think it was going to be easy”, he spoke like a leader in the post-game press conference.
