Being out of action since April 30, when he was forced to leave the court during Game 5 of the Playoffs series between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat, Kristaps Porzingis won’t reportedly return for the start of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Beating Cleveland easily in five games even despite the Latvian player’s absence, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski he won’t return to the court in Game 1 and Game 2 against one between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers.

Making progress in recovery from a soleus strain of his right calf, there is still optimism about his return to the court somewhen during the next series for Joe Mazzulla’s team.

In the 2023-24 NBA Regular Season, the former New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, and Washington Wizards power forward has averaged 20.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game with Boston.
