Respectively winning the Best Defensive Player of the Year and the Rookie of the Year Awards, Rudy Gobert and Victor Wembanyama can now also enjoy being both inserted in the NBA All-Defensive First Team for this season.
The two French centers, who were also announced as part of the French national team’s 19-man extended roster ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris, are joined by Miami Heat‘s Bam Adebayo, Los Angeles Lakers‘ Anthony Davis, and New Orleans Pelicans‘ Herbert Jones.
In the NBA All-Defensive Second Team, instead, there’s space for a duo from the Boston Celtics, with Jrue Holiday and Derrick White being inserted. Another huge defensive asset from Minnesota is in there with Jaden McDaniels, while Alex Caruso and Jalen Suggs complete the quintet.
