Boston Celtics big man Kristaps Porzingis more or less confirmed that he will join his team for the upcoming NBA Finals and that he will be ready to play for Latvia in the Olympic Qualifiers.

“Thank you to everyone who supports and sympathizes throughout the season. I’ll be back in line soon. See you in the finals and then in the arena with our own,” Porzingis tweeted. He put the shamrock emoji after “finals” and a Latvian flag at the end of his tweet.

Porzingis suffered a right soleus strain in Game 4 of the first-round series against the Miami Heat in late April and was sidelined ever since. There were expectations that he could possibly make his comeback in Game 4 vs. the Indiana Pacers but it appears that he will step back on the floor in the title series.

The Celtics are still waiting to find out their opponent in the Finals out of the Western Conference. The Dallas Mavericks hold a 3-1 lead over the Minnesota Timberwolves and can finish the job Thusday 30/5.

Porzingis is averaging 20.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists in the 2023-24 so far.
