Talented Serbian point guard Nikola Topic is projected to be among the top picks at the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft.
Crvena Zvezda‘s player shared his thoughts on a possible NBA destination during the NBA Draft combine in Treviso.
“Wherever I go, it will be my pleasure. My approach will be the same. Whether it’s Atlanta, San Antonio, or Detroit, I just want to be the best I can be and make everyone around me better,” Topic said, per Jonathan Givony.
He got injured during the ABA finals and said he’s still not fully ready.
“I’m not 100% healed. I haven’t started running or practicing with the basketball. I’m focusing on rehab, on my body and knee.”
Topic spent the first part of the 2023–24 season playing for Serbian club Mega and then returned to Crvena Zvezda to finish the season in the ABA League and EuroLeague.
He was named an ABA League top prospect despite missing a couple of months in the second part of the season due to injury. Topic recovered for the ABA finals but got injured in the first game of the series.
