Kristaps Porzingis wasn’t completely sure to come back in shape for the first two games of his debut in the NBA Finals, being forced out of the court for tons of time.

However, helping Boston get the 2-0 lead over the Mavericks before heading to Dallas to potentially close the series, the Latvian power forward felt good on the court, averaging 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game, shooting 60.0% from the field.

During the recent 105-98 victory in the TD Garden to beat Luka Doncic and teammates in Game 2, the 28-year-old big man suffered a little injury and got to the bench to rest. In the aftermath, he explained it’s nothing to worry about. “I’m feeling good. I don’t think it’s anything serious. We will look at it tomorrow and go from there, but all good. I’ll be good”, he said.

“I don’t even know what it is, to be honest”, he added. “Today I felt a little bit better conditioning. Even though I had a really good couple of games, it’s tough to jump into the rhythm like that. But I think I did a decent job tonight again and helped the team win. We move forward”, Porzingis shared.

The former Mavericks player is looking forward to playing against his former team in Dallas for the first time since being traded to Washington. “Something happened, but we have a couple of days again and believe me: we will do everything we can to be back and moving well. I’ll die out there if we need”, he said.

In the post-game press conference, Joe Mazzulla was asked if he had any concerns regarding Kristaps Porzingis’ current status. “Zero. He’s good”, the Boston Celtics head coach commented.
