The Boston Celtics are the new NBA champions.
The legendary franchise defeated the Dallas Mavericks 4-1 in the Finals, winning Game 5 at TD Garden with a score of 106-88.
The Celtics now have the most NBA titles in history, winning their 18th in the 2023/24 season.

Kristaps Porzingis became an NBA champion after scoring five points in 16 minutes of the final game of the season. He is the first Latvian-born player to win an NBA title.
For the Mavs, Luka Doncic had a strong double-double with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists. He became the only player in NBA history to average 25/5/5/2 in the Finals and the first one to lead the playoffs in points, rebounds, assists, and steals.
Kyrie Irving was once again out of rhythm with 15 points and nine assists, but he was still the second-best player on the Dallas team.
