It looks like the marriage between Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat won’t end anywhen soon.

According to what was reported by Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, the 26-year-old center is set to extend his contract with the franchise for three more years, agreeing to a max renewal valued at $166 million.

He has been playing for the Miami Heat since 2017 when he was drafted with the 14th pick. He was named to the All-NBA Defensive Teams for five consecutive years: four in the Second Team (from 2020 to 2023), and once this season. He collected 19.3 points and 10.4 rebounds in the 2023-24 campaign.

Bam Adebayo will play with Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, alongside Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, LeBron James, and more. He was there representing his country in the Olympics in Tokyo 2020, where he averaged 6.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game to help get the gold medal.
