The Sacramento Kings traded Sasha Vezenkov to the Toronto Raptors, and the 2023 EuroLeague MVP bid his farewell to the California side.

Having played my rookie season with the Sacramento Kings has been an incredible and unique experience. I’m grateful for the opportunity and for all the support I received from everyone along the way. I want to thank the organization, my teammates, and the fans who welcomed me from day one. I will cherish the good moments and I am looking forward to what the future holds for me,” Vezenkov wrote on social media.

The Bulgarian international played 42 games in his first NBA season with the Kings, averaging 5.4 points and 2.3 rebounds on 44% shooting.

The trade also involved Davion Mitchell and the 45th NBA draft pick, Jamal Shead, moving to Toronto, while Sacramento received Jalen McDaniels.
