Ukrainian Alex Len is signing a new contract with the Kings

Returning to the Sacramento Kings for a fourth year in a row, Alex Len is inking a one-year contract worth 3.3 million dollars.

The deal between the Ukrainian center and the Kings was reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium on Sunday.

Len, 31, put in 2.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.7 blocks, and 0.2 steals over 48 appearances in the 2023-24 Regular Season. Coming off the bench on all features, he averaged 9.3 minutes per game under the guidance of Mike Brown. Over the last three seasons playing for the team based in the capital of California, he tallied 3.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.6 blocks, and 0.2 steals per game over 120 appearances.

Moving forward to the 2024-25 season, his fourth with the Kings and 12th in the league based in North America, the experienced big is projected to retain his backup role at the center position.

Before signing with the Kings in 2021, his first spell in Sacramento was generated via trade and completed the 2019-20 campaign. Overall, Len has played in 656 games between the Kings, Washington Wizards, Toronto Raptors, Atlanta Hawks, and Phoenix Suns. Back in 2013, he was selected with the fifth overall pick by the Suns, coming out of Maryland.

Representing Ukraine at the international level, the native of Dnipro made his way to the 2022 EuroBasket, besides getting more caps in the Qualifiers of the 2019 and 2023 installments of the FIBA Europe Cup.
