Good news for Simone Fontecchio from the NBA.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Italian forward will continue playing for the Detroit Pistons after agreeing to a two-year, $16 million deal to return.
Fontecchio averaged 15.4 points on 42.6 percent shooting from three-point range in 16 games after arriving in a trade deadline deal with the Utah Jazz.
Before moving to Motor City, he appeared in 50 games during the 2023/24 season with the Salt Lake City outfit, averaging 8.9 points and 3.5 rebounds.
In his first season with the Jazz, he averaged 6.3 points and 1.7 rebounds in 52 games played.
Former Virtus Bologna, Olimpia Milano, ALBA Berlin, and Baskonia player will therefore continue playing in the NBA with the Pistons, who recently decided to part ways with another European player, Evan Fournier.
