After being cut from the Olympic team of France, Nadir Hifi is heading to the NBA 2K25 Summer League

Removed from the training camp of the senior national team of France in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games, 21-year-old combo guard Nadir Hifi immediately bounced back. In a quick turnaround, he will play for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2024 NBA 2K25 Summer League.

Coming off a brilliant campaign with Paris, Hifi tallied 16.6 points, 2.4 assists, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.8 steals per contest over 23 appearances in the 2023-24 edition of the BKT EuroCup. He added 15.4 points per game over 49 appearances across all competitions in France.

The Wolves announced the Summer League roster, including Hifi, on Sunday. Besides the recently-crowned EuroCup champion with Paris, Dutch undrafted rookie Jesse Edwards also features on the list.

Per the press release: “The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team’s roster for the NBA 2K25 Summer League 2024 in Las Vegas. The Wolves open their summer league slate with a contest against the New Orleans Pelicans on July 12 at Thomas & Mack Center. The game will tip at 4:00 p.m. CT and be broadcast on ESPN2.

The roster is headlined by forwards Josh Minott and Leonard Miller and 2024 NBA Draft first round selections Rob Dillingham and Terrence Shannon Jr. This year’s team will be coached by Timberwolves Assistant Coach Chris Hines.

From July 12-22, all 30 NBA teams will play at least five games, including four games from July 12-19.  After each team’s first four games, the top four teams will advance to participate in the playoffs, beginning with a semifinal doubleheader on Sunday, July 21 at 1 p.m. CT and 3 p.m. CT on ESPN.  The two winning teams from the semifinal games will meet in the championship game on Monday, July 22 at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN.

The four playoff teams will be determined by winning percentage in each team’s first four games, with tiebreak criteria available here.  The 26 teams that do not advance to the four-team playoff will play a fifth game on either Saturday, July 20 or Sunday, July 21.

This summer will mark the 17th NBA Summer League in Las Vegas appearance for the Wolves (2006-10, 2012-19, 2021-23) where they are 42-43 all-time.

All 76 games of the 11-day competition will air live on television on ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN+ and ESPN3) or NBA TV.  Every game will also be available to stream on the ESPN App.
