After achieving great success in Europe, Tuomas Iisalo is beginning his NBA chapter.
The 2023 BCL and 2024 EuroCup winner has joined the coaching staff of the Memphis Grizzlies, as officially announced.
Iisalo enjoyed tremendous success over the last two seasons in Europe, winning the FIBA Basketball Champions League with Telekom Baskets Bonn. He then moved to Paris, where he led the team to victory in the BKT EuroCup and Leaders Cup, earning them promotion to the EuroLeague.
Instead of coaching in Europe’s top continental competition, he has opted for a move overseas, where he will serve as head assistant on Taylor Jenkins’ coaching staff.
