Bronny James isn’t picky when it comes to where he’s going to spend his first season as a pro. Even if that includes getting assignments to the G-League.

“I’m just looking forward to any basketball I play, no matter what level I’m playing at,” James said when asked about possibly playing in the G-League, after the Los Angeles Lakers’ 80 – 99 to the Houston Rockets in the Summer League.

James has been struggling quite a lot to make shots in the Summer League so far. Over three games, he’s 6 out of 26 from the field, including 0 – 12 on 3-point attempts, for 5.0 points.

“Shoot, he’s going to have a long career,” Lakers’ Summer League coach Dane Johnson commented.  “This is just the beginning. We just keep instilling [confidence], keep that in their heads. So we’ve got a long way to go.”

The Lakers picked Bronny James with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. The eldest son of LeBron James, next season he’s expected to be part of the first-ever father-son duo in the NBA.
