Sandro Mamukelashvili is staying in the NBA.
As Adrian Wojnarowski reported, the Georgian big man has agreed to a one-year, $2.2 million deal to return to the San Antonio Spurs.
The 25-year-old center was drafted as the 54th overall pick in 2021 and debuted in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks. After 65 regular season appearances, he moved his talents to Texas with the Spurs.
Playing for San Antonio in 2022/23, he had 19 appearances with 10.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, earning himself a chance to stay and continue working with Gregg Popovich.
Last season, Sandro played 49 games, averaging 4.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and one assist per game.
It’s now decided he’s staying in the NBA with the Spurs for at least another season.
