As the 34-year-old announced on social media, he is retiring after 14 years in the NBA.
“God has blessed me with an amazing journey, one that has taken turns. I couldn’t have expected or dreamed of as a kid in Brownsburg, Indiana. Today, I am officially retiring from the game of basketball. It’s been an incredible ride and I’m so grateful to everyone who helped me achieve more than I ever imagined,” Hayward wrote.

Due to the injuries, he didn’t play more then 50 games in a season since 2019/20, when he had 52 appereances, and 72 a season prior to that.
In the end, he recorded 835 NBA regular season appereances, averaging 15,2 points, 4,4 rebounds and 3,5 assists, and 36 play-off appereances with 12,1 points, 4,1 rebounds and 2,4 assists.
