The Milwaukee Bucks officially signed Anzejs Pasecniks to a two-way contract.

Pasecniks, 28, is a veteran of 28 games played in the NBA with the Washington Wizards. After one appearance in the 2020-21 campaign, he was waived midway through the Regular Season. Returning to Europe, he played for Coosur Real Betis and Zunder Palencia in Spain, and Metropolitans 92 in France over the next three years. Last season, he averaged 13.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per ACB game with Palencia.

The Latvian center was selected by the Orlando Magic with the 25th overall pick of the 2017 NBA draft. His NBA rights were immediately traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. In 2019, the Sixers renounced his rights. From there to signing a two-way contract with the Wizards. Besides making his way to the NBA, he also featured in 15 games of the 2019-20 G League Regular Season with the Capital City Go-Go, affiliate of the Wizards.

Heading to a similar situation with the Bucks, his two-way contract allows freely moving from the senior squad to the Wisconsin Herd in the G League.

Before his first look at North America, Pasecniks made his professional debut with his hometown club, VEF Riga, and became a three-time league champion in Latvia. From 2015 to 2019, he played for Herbalife Gran Canaria.

Also, he helped Latvia rank fifth in the 2023 FIBA World Cup, logging his first appearances in a major international tournament at the senior level.
