Goran Dragić has decided to end his professional basketball career after 15 seasons in the NBA. He will bid farewell with a spectacular event in his hometown of Ljubljana, Slovenia, on August 24th at Dvorana Stožice.
Dragić has organized a farewell match to mark the end of his career, with many basketball stars and legends attending. Among those confirmed are his fellow countryman Luka Dončić, Serbian players Nikola Jokić, Bogdan Bogdanović, Boban Marjanović, and Marko Gudurić, and Montenegrin center Nikola Vučević.
Retired legends such as Dirk Nowitzki, Luis Scola, Steve Nash, Leandro Barbosa, Predrag Danilović, Dejan Bodiroga, Aleksandar Đorđević, Matjaž Smodiš, Sani Bečirović, Rašo Nesterović, and many other former and current players will also be in attendance.
The lineup promises a spectacular event, ensuring that August 24th will be a day to remember in Slovenia.
During his NBA career from 2008 to 2023, Goran Dragić played in a total of 946 games, starting in 530 of them. He averaged 13.3 points and 4.7 assists per game over 27 minutes on the court.
With the Slovenian national team, he achieved historic success by winning the 2017 EuroBasket.
