Joining forces with A$AP Ferg, Jaylen Brown drops symbolic song

Probably serving as a memo to various recipients, Jaylen Brown expanded from basketball to the music world.

After teasing a new song ‘Just Do It’, he shared the official video on Thursday.

Snubbed from Team USA for the 2024 Olympic Games, the reigning NBA champion and Finals MVP with the Boston Celtics indicated a lack of a partnership with Nike as the reason behind being cut from the roster. Of course, ‘Just Do It’ is a long-lasting line attached to Nike, besides emerging as the song title with Ferg.

Considering earlier developments, the intro and lyrics leave little room for misrepresentation about a further push of allegations and a supposed shoe war surrounding Team USA.

Brown, 27, was initially considered the odds-on favorite or at least among the leading candidates to replace injured Kawhi Leonard on the roster for the team coached by Steve Kerr in the Paris Olympics. Celtics teammate Derrick White was instead called up.

The former California standout tallied 23.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game in the 2024 NBA Playoffs presented by Google Pixel, including 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.8 blocks per contest in the NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV.

He was selected with the third overall pick of the 2016 NBA draft, launching an ongoing spell in Boston. Leading up to becoming an NBA champion, he got the All-Star Game nod in 2021, 2023, and 2024.
