The Oklahoma City Thunder sent forward Josh Giddey to the Chicago Bulls this offseason in exchange for Alex Caruso. One of the Thunder players who is definitely going to miss the Australian point forward is big man Chet Holmgren.

“Man, I was f-cking hurt when I saw that Josh Giddey is not going to be on our team anymore,” Holmgren said while visiting Podcast P with Paul George. “We all rock with him, that’s our dog, still is. He’s going to he’s going to go do great things in Chicago so we’re excited for him.”

While the Thunder lost a player who could contribute in multiple areas on offense, they got much stronger on the defensive end. Caruso made the All-NBA Defensive First Team in 2023 and Second Team last season while also registering a pretty solid 40.8 percent from the 3-point line on 4.7 attempts per game.

“We’re also excited to have AC [Alex Caruso] on our team now too like you said he’s a great defender, he makes shots, he always makes winning plays, makes the right plays, that’s the type of dude you want to play play with,” said Holmgren.
