Olympic gold medalist and four-time NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins has joined the 3×3 World Tour team Wuxi WenLv from China.

He signed a contract for the remainder of the season and is set to dabble in 3×3 basketball.

Cousins last played in the NBA in 2022. Since then, he’s played in Puerto Rico and Taiwan. In May, he was named the T1 League Most Popular Player of the Year for the 2023–24 campaign.

The 34-year-old center was selected by the Sacramento Kings as the 5th overall draft pick in 2010. He spent seven years with the Kings before moving to the New Orleans Pelicans.

His career took an unfortunate turn when he suffered a torn Achilles in January 2018, and after that, he had short stints with the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Denver Nuggets before moving away from the NBA.

Cousins recorded 654 regular-season appearances in the NBA, averaging 19.6 points and 10.2 rebounds.
