On Sunday morning Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mariah Riddlesprigger officially became husband and wife. His teammate Khris Middleton was also present, but contrary to initial info didn’t act as the best man.
The ceremony was held at Costa Navarino resort, near Pylos in Greece, and was not entirely typical with Giannis being an orthodox Christian and Mariah a catholic and it didn’t include a best man.
After all, nothing is typical in the amazing life story of Giannis Antetokounmpo. The celebration lasted for three days, starting on Friday with a “White party”, as all the guests were wearing white, it was followed by a “Nigerian night” on Saturday and it ended on Sunday night with the wedding banket.
Olympic gold medalists LeBron James and Jrue Holiday are among the guests, including many other Bucks teammates, the team owners, and Serena Williams.
The Greek national team coach and EuroLeague legend Vassilis Spanoulis is attending as Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
At the request of Giannis Antetokounmpo, the wedding is private and there’s no press coverage on the site of the resort, even if it’s one of the main news topics for the last three days in Greece.
Giannis and Mariah (pictured at a past celebration) have a long-time relationship and already have three children.
