Jamal Murray is signing a four-year, $208 million maximum contract extension with the Denver Nuggets per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Thanks to this deal, the Canadian guard will remain a Denver resident until 2029.
Murray averaged a career-high-tying 21.2 points, 6.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds in the 2023-24 regular season, in the most productive overall run of his NBA career so far. He had 20.6 points, 5.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in the playoffs.
Together with Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic, Murray led the team to win their first-ever NBA championship in 2023, putting up 26.1 points, 7.1 assists and 5.7 rebounds in the postseason.
Murray has been playing for the Nuggets since 2016 when Denver selected him with the 7th overall pick in the NBA Draft.
