Former Atlanta Hawks star Dominique Wilkins, now the Georgia team’s vice president of basketball operations and special advisor to CEO Steve Koonin, shared his thoughts on talented Frenchman Zaccharie Risacher.

The Hawks selected the former JL Bourg player as the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, and Wilkins believes that he can achieve great things.

He’s young, man. What’s that kid, 19? He’s talented, but you’ve got to be able to give him time. Give him time. He’ll do great. Trust me, he’ll do great,” Wilkins said.

Wilkins, who played for 12 years in Atlanta, saw the Hawks eventually retire his No. 21 jersey.

His words of encouragement will definitely be a boost for the talented Frenchman, from whom Hawks fans are expecting a lot. With Wilkins’ approval, Risacher is on the right track.
