It all started with Shaquille O’Neal naming Rudy Gobert the worst player in NBA history. The Frenchman then responded, claiming that O’Neal was “triggered by his finances and accomplishments,” adding that Shaq “doesn’t need that stuff to stay relevant.”
The Hall of Famer and four-time NBA champion fired back during his appearance on The OG’s Podcast with Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller.
“First of all, I’m not triggered by your finances or your accomplishments.
If you’re talking about your accomplishments, those little trophies you got, that’s not enough when you’re making $250 million, young man, it’s not enough. You want to impress me, UD, and Mike?
A lot of these big men fail when I put out these challenges. You don’t think I’m right? Look at this play right here. Why would somebody push you down, and you fall, grab their knees, and put your head between their legs?” Shaq said.
Udonis Haslem chimed in.
“Win a championship and shut us up. That’s how you shut us up,” Haslem added.
