Shy from the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season, the 2024 NBA Preseason presents a history-making opportunity for LeBron James.
After winning four NBA championships with NBA Finals MVP in 2012, 2023, 2016, and 2020, becoming the all-time leading scorer of the league, and much more, King James can share an NBA court with his son, Bronny James.
Upcoming exhibition games are likely to host the first-ever father-and-son combination in NBA history. Tipping off the Preseason schedule, the team coached by JJ Redick is up against the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Phoenix Suns in Acrisure Arena on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
On Thursday, following the third practice of the training camp, hew head coach Redick talked about LeBron and Anthony Davis joining Preseason action. “They are going to play this weekend, but we are still talking through what minutes and rotations look like for everybody,” he referred to the Lakers representation on the 2024 Olympic Games gold medal-winning team of the United States.
On a possibly related note, Bronny will turn 20 on Sunday. A very special birthday gift can emerge at the start of his NBA career.
In the 2024 NBA draft, the Lakers selected the USC product with the 55th pick. Preparing for his first professional campaign, the young combo guard is expected to receive significant playing time in the Preseason.
