After a successful summer with the Serbian national team, winning bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Bogdanović is back in the U.S. for his eighth NBA season.

Currently the oldest first-team player for the Hawks, he emphasized focus on team basketball, stressing the importance of building chemistry and playing as a unit for the entire game.

I feel we are trying to play team basketball, my style. I’ve been in different leagues, and this league for a long time. I feel like my role is to get us together and try to play as much as possible as a team. It’s hard to build that chemistry, to build that mentality, to get to these levels, but we have time, a young and dedicated group. Basketball is not only played when Trae is on the court, or me, or anyone else. That’s what we are trying to accomplish, to play like a team for 48 minutes,” the 32-year-old Serbian guard said.

Bogdanović had a great 2023-24 season in the NBA, averaging 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while shooting 42.8%. He is set to be one of the team’s leaders alongside Trae Young this season, with the Hawks making several changes over the summer, including the addition of Zaccharie Risacher as the No. 1 NBA Draft pick.
