Dealing with a calf injury did not prevent Luka Doncic from hitting a full-court shot and winning a bet with Dereck Lively II.
During an open practice of the Dallas Mavericks in the American Airlines Center on Sunday, labeled as Fan Jam, the Slovenian sensation picked up a ball and connected a hook shot on the other end of the court.
Lively, 20, stood out among reactions. The reason was revealed later on social media.
Doncic, 25, did not participate in the scrimmage due to a left calf contusion. However, he did not miss the Fan Jam or the trick shot.
An exchange on X between Doncic and Lively led to the conclusion that there was a 100,000 dollars wager on the shot.
Following the open practice, the Mavs welcome the Memphis Grizzlies in American Airlines Center on Monday to open the 2024 NBA Preseason schedule.
